MBA

I start my MBA induction in a few days with the course proper commencing in late October. I’ve toyed with the idea of continuing my formal education for a number of years and have decided that the time is right for me to go ahead and do this.

I’m excited at the prospect as I really believe that this will benefit me both as a business leader and as a person although I am by no means underestimating the size of the challenge which awaits me! The last formal study I undertook was 7 years ago when I completed my certificate in Egyptology at Birkbeck collage in London. I enjoyed that immensely partly because I have always been fascinated by ancient Egypt and partly because I like the idea of achieving a formal qualification at the end of the three years.

Along with the prospect of the MBA I am also keen to get my career back on track after my abortive time in Egypt which along with the time I have spent away from the world of work has set my career back at least 2 years. The decision to leave SSP was not an easy one and I was very nervous about going to Egypt as it really was a leap into the unknown. I’m hoping for a change of fortune this time around!
