An independent Scotland?

Yesterday saw the blueprint for independence published and whilst I have no intention of reading it I have a keen interest in politics so spent some time looking at the various news reports. From the start I should declare that I have not liking for Alex Salmond, it’s nothing personal (I’ve never met the guy!) but he just comes across in a way which I find profoundly irritating……
He seems keen on independence (not sure why the British don’t get a say in this) but very much in his terms, it like we owe him something to make up for the fact we invaded and conquered his country all those centuries ago.
Alex and his cronies apparently want to keep the pound but remain independent (not quite sure how he plans to manage this) and tells us that if they can’t get their way they won’t pay his share of the national debt……..Nice one Alex, very grown up of you.

I have nothing against the Scots having the right to chose if they wish to stay in the UK or not, I just have the feeling that certain people want to have their cake and eat it……at my expense.
