I have an early start this morning, this afternoon I’m in Milton Keynes then back up to the North West this evening so it’s going to be a long day but one that I am very much looking forward to.
Yesterday I was thinking about how I would approach joining a new business and how I would balance getting a message across with listening and learning about the business. I am also thinking about how I would go about pulling together a mid term strategic plan and then how I would communicate it. In my opinion pulling together a strategy is relatively straight forward, the execution and communication of the plan is the hard part. This is made slightly easier if you can include key stake holders in the planning stage, not only will you be able to take on board their thoughts but you should be able to make them advocates of your plan.
On a separate note I noticed today the news that Leon are set to expand their business. I’m a huge fan of both the brand and of John and Henry who founded the brand. Although I only worked with them for a short time I have some wonderful memories and learnt a lot. I wish them all the very best of luck.
