You always need a plan….

As tempting as it is to try and fix the whole world in one go in reality that’s not possible or even desirable. For me, the key to any good plan is having a very clear set of guiding principles. You need to be clear as to what you want to achieve and how you will go about achieving it. You also need to be very clear about how you will go about communicating your plan to the business, it’s not just about communication, it’s about getting people excited about what you are trying to do. My aim is always to try and harness the talent and passion of the wider business rather than trying to get things done with just a small team. Everyone has an opinion regardless of their role within an organisation, everyone can add value.
The biggest challenge is always how to manage change……

More on that later
