Moving Mountains

Someone (I forget who) once said that changing a culture was like trying to move a mountain, this person wasn’t wrong! The challenge facing me in my new role is an exciting one, in order to turn things around I’m going to have to carefully consider every aspect of the situation and as I finalise my plan I need to be very careful that I don’t try and rush things, even though current circumstances would suggest that speed is of the essence. I would much rather proceed at a slightly slower more methodical pace but execute new initiatives well. Taking the extra time to ensure a first time fix is something that I am very passionate about and it’s what I think is required within my business at this moment in time. As I start to share my plan with the senior team I’m going to get a sense of what their expectations are….
