I’ve already put in a couple of hours work on my strategy document and I reckons that it’s going to take a me large chunk of the weekend to get to a point where I am happy with it. I have to admit to not really liking working from home as even though I have my own little office/den which is on the bottom floor of the house there are still too many distractions and these, coupled with my rather short attention span make doing the kind of work which I am currently engaged in quite a long winded process. I really don’t mind working weekends as it comes with the territory of being fortunate enough of having a job at my level, besides which I am one of those fortunate individuals who happens to do a job which they really enjoy.
Apart from working I don’t have a lot planned for the weekend, we have been very boring and very organised and pretty much completed our Xmas shopping (at our local BHS of course!) so the only thing that we need to look at is presents for each other. Alex of course, has more presents than I care to think about.
Right, time to prepare some breakfast, but before I vanish I couldn’t resist a comment on the current row around people being segregated according to gender for the visit and lectures from academics of certain religious backgrounds. Frankly I am against any form of gender segregation that is not based on good common sense (sport in general comes to mind) so I am appalled that we would even consider this in our country.
