It may be Sunday but I’m pretty busy

It’s going to be a long day, not helped by our late night visit to both doctor and the chemists, this was because poor Alex has caught a bug which has given him sore eyes and a bad cold, he was prescribed antibiotics and eye drops (giving him the eye drops is not going to be fun) so hopefully he will be better soon. Unfortunately this meant that last night was the third sleepless night in a row.
Today we have to do some boring household stuff such as packing and cleaning the house before we set off down to London, because my presentation tomorrow takes place at 8am I need to be in the office early and cannot risk driving down from Cheshire, hence the impromptu visit to Moira’s sister. Amongst all of this, at some point today I need to find time for a final run through of my presentation and a review of our assumptions. What we have done is out together a plan and then attached a notional value to each initiative, this has been applied to current financial performance to give us an understanding of the effect my plan could have on the numbers. We have had finance check our assumptions and I am taking the fact that they didn’t fall about laughing as a positive sign. I have spent the lady week “road testing” our strategy and all of the people that I have presented it to have been positive, on the back of their feedback I have made a few tweaks.

So, all that I need to do now is convince the board that my ideas are sound and we are in business!
