Did my presentation this morning and I am pleased at the outcome. My team have worked really hard on this and I owe them a huge vote of thanks.
I was on train heading out of London feeling pretty pleased with life when I happened to read a story which literally made me stop and think. The family of a little girl had been fund raising to pay for her treatment, sadly she is now past treatment and does not have long left. Her parents decided to donate the money to the family of a little boy who need surgery in the US to enable him to walk. The operation was a success.
I find it hard to imagine being in their situation, watching their little girl die.
I find it hard to understand how they could summon the strength to carry out such a selfless act of goodwill to a stranger. It’s a tough old world but things like this remind me that there are some inspirational and wonderful people living in it.
