Yesterday was not a fun day, we were lucky as we got out of London before the worst of the weather. Sadly the journey was a bit of a nightmare with lashing rain and a screaming baby.
I am working part of today, meeting one of our regional managers in. Sunderland before going onto Hartlepool. Over Christmas I plan to visit a number of sites in order to meet some of the people I am still to meet and to spend some time with my operations team. I also have to start pulling together a truncated version of my presentation as I will be presenting to the board in early January.
I pick up my new car (new to me not actually new) today, my preferred mode of transport is an old banger but with the miles I am doing that strategy is out of the question. Still, I’m proud of the fact that since August my car costs have been less than £500. For those of you that don’t know me despite the exotic sounding name I was born and bred in Yorkshire so I am more Geoff Boycot than Francesco Totti.
