So Mr Salmond wants to debate Scottish independence with David Cameron, on the face of it this would appear to be a reasonable request albeit one which was delivered with Mr. Salmond’s usual high drama. The reality is that it’s a spurious request, DC does not have a vote in the election and does not lead the “Better Together” campaign.
Am I the only one that thinks that whilst the Scots have a vote on independence the population in England should get a chance to vote too, I get the feeling that if we did vote the Scots would be out of the UK and fending for themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I think that it’s a worthwhile debate and that the Scots deserve a chance to have a say on who governs them it’s just the process has dragged on and there appears to be less clarity around some of the key issues than there was at the start of the process. Mind you, not sure how independent the Scots will be if they keep the pound and become part of the EU…………
