Today is apparently the day when people are at their most miserable, the logic is that Christmas is over, you have been paid early in December and are close to 4 weeks away from your next pay day and you are worried about the size of this months credit card bills. On top of this, the weather is rubbish and you go back to work!
To be honest, I bounced into work full of the joys of spring as I could not wait to get stuck into delivering parts of my strategy and really making a difference. The day itself has been mixed, I’ve secured a new laptop which will make my life easier, I have a new member of the team starting today who I know will make a huge difference as I have worked with him before and I had a really good conference call with store managers. On the minus side I had a couple of people setbacks which will mean having to rethink a couple of things.
The rest of this week will be spent getting various projects off the ground with a day of site visits booked in for Friday.
Right, time to do some ironing and deal with a few emails!
