Like most people I have been following the story of the missing 3 year old in Scotland and after he was missing for 48 hours I fear the worst. The whole thing seemed very strange, cam a three year old really get up, get himself dressed, saunter out of the house and to all intents and purposes vanish? I was was awake around 2am and caught the news that a body had been found and the reportedly his mother had been detained, not sure what I found sadder, the fact that the poor little mite had died or the fact that I wasn’t surprised to hear that potentially it had been due to foul play and that allegedly his mother had been detained in connection with his death. Like any parent I cannot begin to imagine how I would feel if Alex died and I cannot imagine what might drive someone to harm their child.
Today is going to be a lazy day as I really do need to throw off this cold which seems to have lingered for most of the winter. I have a few odd jobs to do around the house but that is the extent of my ambition for today.
