Well, I’m up bright and early and getting ready for my trip to the big city. I should hopefully be moving into my flat at some point next week which will be a huge relief as life in a Travelodge is starting to lose its appeal.
Today is not so hectic and my diary is made up of various meetings and a couple of interviews. Tomorrow is going to be rather more hectic as I have a day full of meetings and interviews before heading back up North in the evening.
This weeks focus is around skills training and trying to get to a place where we understand what that will look like going forward, I am now speaking to a number if people who can help us with this and it is something that I want to make progress on quickly as it is an area where we can make a big difference. My second focus is on how we display your various sandwiches and toasties as at the moment they are just placed in a fridge without much thought as to how they should be displayed.
I read with interest the news reports around labours proposed return to the 50p tax rate for high earners, the sheer cynicism of a party which kept the rate at a much lower level for close to 13 years before putting it up just before the election bothers me. What also bothers me is the question of this being a populist move announced to gather votes as opposed to a sound economic policy which is part of a plan to restore the nations finances……….,
