Today I am visiting a number of our test shops in Chesterfield, Preston and Stoke before ending that day with a conference call to review the teams progress.
Yesterday brought home to me (as if I needed reminding) just how big a task I have with this role……
On a more positive note the interviews which we have conducted have been largely positive and we are inching closer to building a team which will really make a difference, what’s been great has been how supportive people within the business have been with regards to my getting the people that we need.
Yesterday was our first head office food tasting day. Every last Wednesday of the month we will be investing everyone in the office to taste some of the food which we will be trailing, we started with Glorious soup and over 550 people came along to try it. We are setting up a survey for feedback but anecdotally the product was really well received. These sessions are all about involving people in what we are trying to do by bringing the business plan to life (so to speak!)
So new day, new set of challenges and as always I’m looking forward to getting out and about in the business and meeting people
