Almost the weekend

I’m in the North West all day today having a series if meetings with suppliers. My main focus will be on coffee as I am also interviewing a guy who I am hopeful will be able to help us move our coffee offer up a few levels.

With our first major food launch a few days off reaction from managers and their teams has been quite positive. As well as launching a number if new products we have delisted a number some slow selling items as well as making some changes to the amount of time we range items for. Most crucially we have made some some changes to the processes around our hot plates which should improve food quality and reduce waste.

Our plan for our food is pretty simple, improve the quality of the product and the quality of its preparation so that customers come to us because they like our food rather than because we are selling it cheaply via some aggressive deals, Glorious soup is a fist step along what will be a long journey.

This evening I am head to the North East to catch up with family so it’s going to be a long day.
