The day is nearly over and before I had to the gym I have paused to reflect on what has been one of my better days here at BHS. As I mentioned in previous posts I presented my vision for the business to the group CEO which went really well, along with this I submitted various requests for additional resource and im really pleased to say that I am pleased with the results. I have a small team so the addition of an administrator is very welcome as this role will reduce the pressue on the rest of the team, also on the good news front one of my team is on their way back from illness which really is fantastic as they have been missed. I will also be bringing on board a coffee specialist in the next few weeks who I am sure will make a huge difference to our hot drinks offer as he will raise the skill level of our baristas and inject some real passion into what we do. We are working hard on making a real step change to our hot drinks category and this role will support this.
We are still on the look out for great unit managers who would like to join us on our journey (it feels more like an adventure at times!) to take the BHS food business to where it deserves to be, so if you think that you fit the bill please drop me a line via my linked in page.
