Time to reflect

I quite enjoy holidays (as most people do) as I get the chance to unwind and also the chance to think, thinking time is a priceless commodity in today’s world of smart phones, tablets and social media.
This week, I am planning to reflect on what has been achieved so far and then I’m going to look at the priorities for the next few months and give some thought to perhaps changing some of my priorities in light of current performance. There are already a couple of things that I plan to do differently, these are focused on driving sales across the whole chain and by doing this starting to create a more commercial culture.
I will also be reflecting on my day to day activities and trying to assess if the way in which I am currently working is adding sufficient value to the business. I try and do this every 6 months or so as I find it useful to reevaluate the way in which I work and then to make changes. It keeps me (and my team) on my toes and allows me to match my working habits to the changing needs of the business.

I will let you know where I get to with my reflecting!

Aw. From the world of work, today is a sunny day so we are heading towards Benidorm (not into Benidorm I hasten to add) to take Alex around the local marine park.
