We fly back today so I have spent some time clearing down emails and going through my diary for next week. My key challenges are to get the upcoming launches back on track.
What’s been interesting in the world of BHS this past week has been the launch of the first food store, I have nothing to do with this per se as I run the hospitality division but I have taken a keen interest in this as it could be a real game changer for the business. I don’t have the exact numbers for Staines but anecdotally I hear that the launch has gone well. What’s also been interesting is that sales in the restaurant have increased which is probably a testament to the increased footfall within the store. There is an ambitious roll out plan for the food stores which will be a real challenge to deliver but I strongly believe that it will be worth it.
We are hopefully close to recruiting a trainer which as regular readers of my blog will be aware, this role will play a big part in my ongoing strategy.
