Up in Milton Keynes today to meet with my buying/NPD team to discuss the food plan for the rest if the year. Our goal is to have every category overhauled ahead of us going into the winter peak trading season which is going to be a big task but which is also achievable. Our focus is very,much on getting our menu into a place where people are coming into our stores because of the quality and value for money that our food represents.
Our biggest focus is in hot and cold main meals and our current plan is not to do one big launch but to add new dishes as and when they have been through our test shop process. At the moment we are focusing on improving our core lines with the emphasis very much on “home made”, fresh and tasty.
Our next launch is the coming week when we will be making a few tweaks to the range ahead if a much bigger launch on the first week in May.
