After a marathon day yesterday, which started in the office at 6:30 and after a series of meetings and a trip to Oxford Street ended we me leaving the office around 8pm, I decided to do some calls and emails from home before setting off later than usual. My commute into London is not fun as if I’m not on the road by 5:30 it takes me 90 minutes to get into the office instead of the usual 50 minutes.
Whilst I was there I had a look at the progress made on our revamped cafe in the Oxford street store and I have to say that it looks fantastic. We are due to reopen on the 19th of the month and are confident that it will be a huge success.
Today is going to be spent tidying up some loose ends and planning some sales driving activity for next week. The unseasonably warm weather if not helping footfall into our stores so there is a general feeling that we have to do some work to drive sales.
Next week sees the arrival of the sixth member of our operations team who I think will make a big difference in his area which will be the South East.
I’m staying down in a London this weekend as I have lots of work to catch up on so I won’t be seeing my family until the following weekend which is not fun but I do have the occasional weekend where it’s easier to stay in London and get work done.
Have a lovely weekend!
