The joys of admin!

To a certain extent emails and basic admin are an inevitable byproduct of doing business. Different people have different ways of dealing with this kind of stuff, i deal with it by ensuing that I start the week with an empty inbox and a comprehensive to do list. I try and spent some time each day dealing with emails and try to ensure that I leave myself enough time in my weekly schedule to deal with things that arise unexpectedly. In terms of strategy I like to work to a plan and I like to be working a couple of months ahead of myself,this isn’t always possible as sometimes you have to respond to situations, however lurching from one crisis to the next on a day to day basis is not my idea of fun!
Over the last few months it has been difficult to remain focused on our overall strategy as there has just been so much going on but I’m pleased to say that we are back in track. The late Stephen Covey used to talk about the “whirlwind” of daily life and recently it’s felt like we have been in the eye oft he storm!
