Last day & last BHS post

Today is effectively my last full day at BHS as tomorrow is going to consist of me handing back various pieces of property which belong to BHS. It’s been a fascinating 15 months, my role has been broad with my overseeing purchasing, logistics, menu development, signage and marketing as well as operations. I have learnt a lot and become a better businessman in the process. I’m leaving behind a business that now has some genuine self belief and which is selling products that they can be proud of. There remains much work to do but they have a team of area managers who are focusing on people and sales and who are starting to make a difference.
I will be keeping in close touch with the new hospitality director as I’m keen to continue doing anything that I can to help, at the very least I will be keeping an eye out to see how things are progressing.

This post marks the last chapter in my BHS adventures and from tomorrow afternoon I’m going to start writing about my Kuwaiti adventures. I’m really excited and looking forward to getting started and hopefully making a difference, having said that, my Egyptian adventures have left me far more clued up in terms of working in that part of the world and I know what to expect!
