I’m actually quite excited, I’m waking up in a foreign country about to start a new job. My taxi is coming to pick me up at 7:45 (they start work early over here) which for me is actually quite a late start so I have had a bit of a lie in as yesterday was quite a tiring day. I spent most of the flight making notes on the various P&Ls which I have been given and relating these P&Ls back to the units which I have already visited.
Dinner last night was interesting, I tried a wagyu beef burger with hand cut fries which was lovely and I had a long chat with the restaurant manager which was enlightening. I also treated myself to a frozen yogurt from Pinkberry which was as lovely as usual.
My twin priorities are to settle into work quickly and to settle into Kuwait as quickly as local procedures will allow.
