It’s nearly the weekend

It’s been a busy week and thankfully here in Kuwait the weekend is Friday and Saturday. I’m still busy visiting restaurants so I will be taking half days off over the weekend.
I’m feeling a little tired as the 14 hour days are taking their toll but at the moment I’m surviving on adrenaline!
Today I have a few meetings with various people in HR and I’m then spending the rest of the day looking at my structure and matching what I have versus the budget, we need to pull together a manpower plan quickly so that we can adequately plan for recruitment which here is a real challenge, we basically have people for three years then after that they are free to move on, the challenge is in the recruitment process which involves going abroad and then putting people through the visa process which can take up to here months, during which time you are paying for their time and their accommodation!
So far I am really enjoying the challenge and enjoying my time here in Kuwait, not that I have seen much of it!
