It’s a different world

After finishing in the office I visited some restaurants with one of my team, as we arrived back at my hotel it was interesting to observe just how different this place is.
My hotel is the Movenpick and it’s located in a place called Bidda, in front of the hotel is a strip containing a number of restaurants and coffee shops, it’s a popular area full of youngsters just hanging out and showing off their cars….Lamborghinis seem to be the car of choice for the young Kuwaiti guys although Bentleys are quite popular. Even though it’s quite chilly at night people want to sit outside and watch the world go by. What’s fascinating is that many young Kuwaitis won’t ever actually have a job as most won’t get out of bed for what we would consider an average salary (although if I owned a Lamborghini I would have no trouble getting out of bed in the morning) and are therefore pretty much unemployable.
I’m visiting more restaurants this evening but ahead if this I’m going to enjoy some R&R by the sea, I am going to be heading to the gym also.
Ahead of this I’m going to visit one of our restaurants for breakfast, we have a really cool brand called Prime & Toast which serves a fantastic breakfast, my local branch is open 24/7 which is handy!
