Up and about

After a reasonable nights sleep I’m up bright and early and busy clearing down emails. One of the first things I did was start to reduce email traffic as there was a lot of time spent sending out communications which added no value. I’m now looking at how my team is organised, trying to find ways of reducing their travel between units and ensuring that their workload is not excessive. Last week was mainly spent getting to know everyone and formulating some first impressions and now this week is all about finalising the first draft of my plan and dealing with immediate priorities with the two key ones being efficiency and guest experience. I am also working hard to get everyone focused on two or three deliverables, we have some hard working talented people in the business and it’s about my giving them a direction.
