I haven’t exactly experienced a lot of Kuwaiti life as I’ve been otherwise engaged, that said its been fascinating experiencing life in this country. From my point of view people here have been open and welcoming, Kuwaiti society is such a melting point of cultures due to the large number of expat workers and this I believe has brought an openness to the society I have have not experienced in other parts of the Middle East. What also strikes me is the sheer wealth of this small nation, of course not everyone is wealthy but the number of exotic cars driven about by quite young people far exceeds what you might see in Western capitols, not I accept that the number of flash cars is not an absolute indicator of wealth but, this along with the large number of very large houses and the number of domestic servants starts to give you a picture.
