I’ve been here a while now and life is settling into a familiar pattern,having my family out here has made a huge difference even though the flat we are living in is somewhat too small for an energetic two year old. Getting our son back into is routine has not been easy, they flew here overnight so his body clock is all over the place. We also discovered that he can reach and open the windows in our living room which given that we are 7 floors up is a little scary…… First thing my wife will be doing today is going to the shop to buy a large roll of sellotape to stick the handles together.
The fact that my wife can drive is good news as for the moment I cannot drive as they recently changed the law with regards to giving driving licenses to expats, she’s ok because she is here on a tourist visa so can use her international license.
One thing that we are keen to do is to start meeting people, it’s been difficult for as I have had so little time off since I have been here, we have time to put this right.
