Yesterday was a bit of a pain on the travel front, two of my morning trains were cancelled and when I finally managed to get onto a train I had to endure a “sardine in the can” experience all the way into London which is certainly not my idea of fun. On the way home I managed to just miss one train, had the next canceled due to some technical issue and then when I finally managed to get a train it was delayed due to “unavailability of personel” which after a long day is a pretty lame excuse.

We are having a decent week sales wise but tomorrow will really hurt us. I’m not going to comment on the rights and wrongs of the industrial action but what I will say is that this situation needs sorting out and quickly.
We have our monthly managers meeting today and it’s going to be our operations managers first meeting and she will be leading most of it. At the moment I am in the process of handing things over to her and ensuring that there is no confusion in the minds of our managers.
