Had a lovely day yesterday browsing the various stalls in our local town. I’m a bit of a foodie and enjoy trying different things and yesterday was an opportunity to do just that. There was a whole variety of products many of them local such as meats and cheeses as well as locally brewed ale and cider. What’s been fascinating to watch over the last few years is people’s desire to get back to basics such as fresh locally grown ingredients and a move away from processed food which I for one welcome.
My parents are Italian and whenever I visit Italy (especially the south of the country) I am always struck by the simplicity of the cooking which relies on great tasting, good quality ingredients rather than fancy sauces and complicated cooking methods. Part of the reason that I am enjoying running Vital is that essentially that’s what we do, provide great quality fresh ingredients which not only taste fantastic but which are good for you.
