After a sleepless night (having a toddler with a head cold is not conducive to achieving a restful sleep) I am working from home today in an effort to clear the decks ahead of Xmas and to be ready for the new year.
Our challenge is to exit this year with some real momentum behind our sales in order to hit the ground running next year. Our like for like sales have improved over the last month or so which is encouraging. As with any business at this time of year we have a difficult balancing act as we have lots of people on holiday yet don’t want to overspend the labour budget because our sales are not as bouyant as usual when the weather is a little colder.
