Time Flies……

It’s already Thursday and the week is flying past, much of my focus has been working with my team to finalise the store bonus scheme and our manager’s budget as well as getting ready to review everyone’s 2025 targets and agree new ones for 2016 whilst at the same time finalising the 3026 business plan. We plan to conclude most of this activity by the end of next week as there are other things which we need to move on to. Today sees me hold my first full meeting with our head of HR and the main topics will be improving our recruitment at all levels and building on our much improved retention in recent months. Our focus will now move to sickness and absence both of which are at levels far in excess of what is desirable, our work in this area will be hugely helped by installing a biometric clock in system coupled with time and attendance software, this will be a pretty big project for us and we are close to signing it off with a view to start a full roll out next month. So, lots going on with some quite big stuff going on behind the scenes just to make life interesting……..the Christmas holiday seems like a long time ago!
