this time last year I was about to get onto a flight to Kuwait City to start my new role out there. Sadly for reasons which I prefer not to go into things didn’t work out, having said that I made some good friends out there and enjoyed aspects of kuwaiti life. I still keep in touch with people out there and will continue to follow the progress of the restaurant business which I ran from a (considerable) distance.
I don’t think I will work abroad again (although never say never) but I have no regrets about having spent time in the Middle East and in North Africa.
