We had a hugely busy day yesterday with our City shops being especially busy, the photo,is of our London Wall shop and whilst the queue of people my look a little scary they were getting served quite quickly, certainly quicker than the target we set ourselves. I spent lunchtime visiting four of our shops to see how they were doing and checking out our speed of service, our business is very lunch time focused so getting people in and out of our shops (whilst giving them a memorable expereince) is a real must for us and something that our head of training is working on. One thing I have noticed is that the rise of the smart phone has really helped us as people don’t seem to mind a bit of queuing as it gives the, time to catch up on emails or on social media.
We have a board meeting today as well as a number of quite important external meetings so it promises to be a busy day!
