yesterday was a long day but one which went pretty well, I attended a series of meetings which went well plus we are closing in on another couple of new stores which if they come off would take our total to five for the year, just one short of our plan. I’m not counting any chickens so let’s see what happens!
Today is a slightly quieter day which kicks off with a breakfast meeting with my operations person, after which I have to try and take control of a rather bulging inbox before visiting yet more potential new sites and then taking part in a succession meeting.
One of our recent areas of focus has been on breakfast, we introduced improved coffee and train baristers last year plus our a competitively priced breakfast offer. We still have much to do in terms of our operation and breakfast range but we are slowly seeing sales improve which is encouraging.
