9/11

That fateful day seems so long ago. I remember being sat in the operations managers hot desking room in Pret’s old office on Palace Street listening to events unfolding on a radio and being sat in a state of shock and disbelief.

I also recall the next day, walking around my patch in the heart of the city with my boss and standing to observe the minutes silence. We were at the St Paul’s end of Cheapside and the whole place was eerily quite. Of course, it long after London found itself in the front line but that’s another story

For now, I just want to remember the people who lost their lives on that awful day
