It’s the end of an exciting week and I’m quite pleased at the progress the team has made. We have now spoken to all our suppliers and our head of food has put together her thoughts as to how we move forward. We are both of the opinion that the food offer needs to move forward and from next week we will be speaking to suppliers who can potentially help us do this. I’m particularly excited about the pastries as we have the opportunity to have fresh, daily deliveries to our London stores by partnering with a London based bakery which is a social enterprise.
The team has also spent time looking at our systems and concluded that there is too much manual inputting so I look forward to meeting with our existing EPOS supplier and the people who supply our stock and ordering system to look for ways to simplify what we do in terms of manual intervention whilst at the some time looking at ways to give us better management information.
