Yesterday was quite an intense days as I waded through a pile of emails and had several meetings which then required some follow up. Today is going to be a similar day but I’m encouraged at the progress the team is making.
We have made a good start on our online training platform and are progressing towards having a really competitive training program. We have also started down the road of being a living wage payer which I believe will make us unique within the industry. We will also start renegotiating peoples hours as we want to make sure that people work the hours they need to provide for themselves and their familes
Obviously all of the above has to be paid for so we have been working hard on improving our food margin which as it stands is less than ideal. We are also speaking to new suppliers, suppliers that we feel can support the business over the long term and help us to create something really special
Finally, we will be making an important announcement to the business on Monday morning.
