We made an announcement to the the team yesterday that AMT as a brand would cease to exist within a year. The world has moved on since the founding of the brand and it’s a had a good run. Kudos should be given to its founders as they did a fantastic job.
So what of the future? The new owners have decided to partner with Change Please, a social enterprise which helps people out of homelessness using a “work first” model. The plan is to rebrand the whole estate into Change Please outlets which will offer speciality coffee and a contemporary product range wrapped in a memorable customer experience. Alongside this, we want to offer a fantastic work environment for our front line colleagues .
So what about me? For the moment I remain as interim MD and I’m loving every minute of this particular assignment. I’m working with a disruptive brand which has big plans and the backing to make those plans a reality and I have the pleasure of working with fantastic team.
I also have the opportunity to play a part in making a difference to peoples lives and that’s a feeling that’s hard to beat.
