It’s been a long double of weeks which have included a trip to Ireland, a run up to Merseyside to look at new locations and then a trip to London to meet with our FD today. I then have some work to do tomorrow morning before heading home for the evening and a day of rest.
Yesterday was a productive day, we have made some headway with landlords and I had a good meeting with Mersey Rail which will hopefully yield some new locations in the coming months. We are also involved in tenders for a number of units which ought hopefully yield some positive results.
On the people front, we have a new finance manager stating next week which is great news as our hard working finance team have been quite stretched lately. We are also recruiting a head of operations as I have 11 direct reports and a variety of projects to deal with. The extra support will ensure that we have the right focus on operations and I will be able to devote more time and energy to other things. These two new hires will also allow us to pick up the pace of transformation and drive sales.
