I’m going to be doing some site visits today as it’s been a while since I got out and visited our units. This has been due to a combination of the Christmas holidays, work load and Covid restrictions. Thankfully it looks like the work from home edit is no longer applicable and I expect to see station footfall increase and alongside this our sales to increase back to the levels we achieved back in November of last year.
In other news, our new head if purchasing starts on Tuesday which I’m really excited about as she will help us formulate a more coherent food strategy and help us reduce our costs.
We are on the lookout for a head of marketing and will shortly start interviewing. Our current marketing manager has done an heroic job but the department needs some additional and experienced support.
Finally, on a personal note. My son continues to do well at table tennis and is now ranked number 5 in the UK for his age group.
