One of the downsides of working the weekend is that the week after feels really long, it’s still on Thursday although I feel like it should be Saturday! Having said that, it’s been an enjoyable week. I have settled in our new head of procurement and I’m feeling really positive about the impact that she will have on our business. We have completed the budget for 2022 and ended up in a reasonable place profile wise. Sales are also growing nicely week on week and it looks like we have resolved our issues in Cork airport which will allow the unit to trade for longer.
I had a good meeting with our network rail category manager yesterday and I a, hoping for some positive news on the back of that meeting.
As for today, I have a couple of face to face meetings before heading over to Milton Keynes which will be my base ahead of my trip north for more site visits
