The news from the UK continues to be grim with todays inflation number looking quite worrying. Whilst I have heard lots of talk (rightfully) of support for individuals and families I have yet to hear about support for business. From a hospitality point of view, i am sure that the excellent Kate Nichols (CEO of Hospitality UK) has been lobbying hard on behalf of the industry. She has been speaking about a VAT cut which would certainly help but after the pressures of Covid I do feel that more will need to be done.
I have my fingers crossed.
