My blog has been silent this week, this is partly because I took the weekend off to focus on my family and partly because activity has ramped up at work. We have a number of projects which are ongoing and which have absorbed a fair amount of the leadership team’s time.
Today saw the announcement from Patisserie Valerie that they will be closing a further 9 store which sees them pull out of Northern Ireland and UK rail locations. As some of you may know, I was sort of the team put in place to turn the business around post it’s acquisition out of administration by Causewaycapital and after an exciting and busy year I was proud of what we as a team achieved. I completed my assignment shortly prior to Covid hitting the UK and I have since kept in touch with the team. It’s always sad to see units closed with people losing their jobs but it’s good to see that the Patisserie Valerie brand continues to live on.
I also said goodbye to my TR4a this week. I did well out of the sale and it’s gone to a good home so I’m pleased. I can now focus all of my attention on my Alfa 6!
