I’m up incredibly early as I’m taking a trip over to Bradford to get my classic Alfa repaired. There are many upsides to owning a rare classic car but one of the downsides is the availability of parts and the small number of garages which can work on the car. In true Italian style my car has 6 cylinders and 6 carburettors, 2 of which are missing their main jets so are effectively useless. My local garage did a great job of setting the remaining carburettors up so the car can be driving but it’s running quite roughly and drinks fuel at an alarming rate. Thankfully, at a recent classic car show I found an Alfa specialist who can do the work. That’s the good news, the bad news is that they are located in Bradford which is a couple of hours away from me.
My cunning plan is to drive the Alfa over there and then work from the garage whilst they fix it. A key part of the plan is keeping my fingers crossed that I won’t be needing to involve the AA at any point in the trip!
Work wise, after a day spent mainly working on Change Please projects I will be spending time on the QSR project and also on Karak Chaii today.
