As a contractor my biggest concern is that I add value to my clients and that my impact on their business can easily be measured. I’ve actually stopped working with clients in situations where I felt that I wasn’t adding any value or when I felt that I couldn’t help them.
Over the years I’ve also recognised what I am good at and what I’m not good at. For example, I’m not a sales person so if I’m speaking to clients who want me to approach my network with their product my answer is usually “I’m not your guy”.
Looking at the three clients that I am currently working with, I am confident that they can see the difference my work is making to their business.
On a separate note, I’m hoping for a breakthrough in my work with Change Please in the next week or as we are close to finalising an agreement which will really help to drive their retail business
