I have been very fortunate to work with clients on a relatively long term. For example I have now spent over a year with Karak Chaii. One of the advantages of this is that you build up a degree of trust with your clients which in turn makes your advice more credible in their eyes which is obviously a good thing!
I also try and be seen as a part of the team as opposed to some suited and booted bloke who comes in and tells them what they are doing wrong (I appreciate that very few consultants do this!) which is important when working with founders who don’t usually use consultants and who therefore don’t really know what to expect.
Of course, things don’t always work out this way but I’m very fortunate to have encountered only a few clients like this – thankfully!
Finally, I am busy working on packages of services which will hopefully see the light of day next week
