Today I have the luxury of working from home and working my way through a fairly long to do list. It’s my opportunity to get to all the tasks that fall by the wayside during a busy week which involves lots of travel. Tuesdays also give me the opportunity to spend some time with my son as I take him to football training (sadly not today as he injured himself on Saturday). As I have gotten older my desire for some work/life balance has gotten stronger as my son is growing quickly and I want to miss as little as possible of that. For people who have read this blog over the years may recall that I was working in Egypt when he was born and spent some time in Kuwait when he was a couple of years old. My other issue is most of my work has been London based whilst we moved to Cheshire just before he was born.
Anyway, I digress!
Alongside my to do list, I have a couple of leads to follow up which may lead to possible new work. This would be good as I am about to drop a client who has been totally non responsive.
