It’s nearly the weekend

This week has flown by, it’s been busy but it’s been very rewarding working with my food team on our strategy document. They have come up with some good ideas and shown a real enthusiasm to start making a difference which is really encouraging. Part of my role is to create a buzz around food within the business and as part of this the whole food team needs to engage and excite our colleagues because food is an important (although relatively small) part of the overall business, providing a service to our customers which hopefully adds to the overall shopping experience.
Today I’m meeting with our projects person to start putting the slide deck and accompanying notes together ready for me to work on over the weekend, I’m also meeting with the head if our internal comms team to discuss not only how we communicate our plan but also how we create engagement within the business. I’m also planning to sound him out on some ideas I have for social media use as I am keen to use this medium to inform and engage colleagues from the wider business.
During the coming week I will meet presenting the rough draft of our plan to key people around the business with the aim of obtaining their input and hopefully their buy in ahead if the final presentation to my boss the week after.
