What happens next (part 2)

I know that I’ve been a little coy about my new role but I wanted to respect my former employers by not blogging about it until I’d actually left. I’m proud of the fact that with every business that I have left I have remained on good terms and I’m pleased to say that BHS has been no exception.

So, we know that I am going to Kuwait (that happens tomorrow) but what will I be doing? I’m going to be operations director for a group of restaurants owned by a company called The Sultan Centre. I will be working alongside a very talented Kuwaiti chef who has created a number of concepts which range from a Sushi brand to a steak house. We also have a couple of franchises, one being Ruby Tuesdays and the other being Abu El Cid which is great as I get to eat some good Egyptian food!
I’m really excited about this opportunity as I feel that we have some strong brands which can be scaled up both within Kuwait and internationally, I’ve met a lot of the people with whom I’m going to be working and they seem a great bunch.

Best of luck in your new role – I’ve enjoyed reading all about BHS and I’m sure I’m going to enjoy your next chapter as much….
